In, with and for South Australia

The new Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) is part of a long tradition of social innovation in South Australia and from March we’re going to be part of it. Growing heads

Not even six figure salaries are attracting enough of the right people to take on the job of headteacher. A couple of years ago I worked on this exact problem with current, former and future headteachers. We found that the money wasn’t the issue, most headteachers love what they do – the issue was with the poor transition between being a senior leader in a school and the top job. In a short film, the heads themselves explain the solutions we developed.

Deepening, broadening and scaling up

A new publication looks at the role experimentation can play in addressing societal challenges, but focuses more on structures and processes than people.
